MISSIONS

Local

“WRPC is in the Heart of Minto with a Heart for Minto!” When you support WRPC, you are supporting agencies that are making a difference in Minto and surrounding area.

Harriston Food Bank

WRPC is proud to support the good work of our local Food Bank. They are a volunteer-driven agency that provides food hampers to local families in need. When we give to the Food Bank we are helping to meet the nutritional needs of our community. When we pray for the Food Bank we are helping to meet the spiritual needs of our community! Your donation can be dropped off here on Sunday or directly at the Food Bank by appointment.

Youth Unlimited/

YFC Minto

Aaron Foell is the Satellite Director of YFC Minto and Director of the Youth Centre in Harriston. Aaron, his staff, and volunteers connect with youth at drop-in nights in Harriston, Clifford, and Palmerston. YFC has also been involved with groups at Norwell DSS. Recently, Aaron has successfully run the AIM Program which introduces students to archery and Jesus.

Ramoth House

Their Mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for young women and their infants, programming to develop life skills, and support for young women during their pregnancy and following birth. The name "Ramoth" is inspired by an Old Testament city designated as a place of refuge. Ramoth Life Centre was created to be a modern day place of refuge for young women and infants. They are located in Mount Forest.

Global

We also believe in what God is doing through people around the world. You and I might not be called to go far and wide, but we can sure pray and financially support these amazing global workers!

Darren & Patty McCrea

The McCrea family serves in Colombia, South America. Their passion is to do whatever it takes to spread the Gospel and make disciples by stimulating and serving the local church! They host short-term teams and put them to work in building projects, medical outreaches, along with street and school evangelism. They partner with the “Boys Refuge Home” and have been instrumental in constructing or improving several church facilities. Darren is also passionate about training nationals and releasing them to serve Jesus in a variety of Latino contexts.

TJ & Sarah LaPlante

TJ and Sarah served in their local church for many years. In the last few years, their passion for children’s ministry, openness to the Holy Spirit, and the call of God has taken them to Romania! They are focused on the following:

  1. Working with families to prevent abandonment.
  2. Advocating for children in need of a family.
  3. Supporting families who take children into adoption or foster care.

Kathy Mizen

Kathy went to Honduras in 2014 and is the Director of Schools of Hope in Tegucigalpa. Her and her team teach Bible lessons and share Jesus’ love with some 8,500 children within the public school system. Kathy also oversees various PAOC initiatives such as ChildCARE Plus, ERDO Nutrition Program, and Water Projects. In her “spare time” she loves to dream up new ways of sharing Jesus’ love with the community!

Donnie Sargeant
